Business flair is learned from experience
Entrepreneurs are supposed to turn opportunities and thoughts into wealth November 25, 2008: Amid bustle of booming economies and the silence of slumbering economies, entrepreneurs are known to organise resources in new and more valuable ways.
Ultimately, entrepreneurs are supposed to turn opportunities and thoughts into wealth. But can entrepreneurship be taught in the four walls of a classroom? Or, is it an undertaking whose bitter lessons are drawn from failure of a business?
Felista Wakina’s case presents a mix on the extent to which entrepreneurship can be taught or naturally learnt. Her journey in the world of entrepreneurship reads like the plot of the prodigal son only that in her case, after trying her hand in a number of ventures, she returned to her first passion, information communication technology.
In between she saw the demise of two enterprises, one founded on the premise of seeing and filling a need while the other set up after an entrepreneurship course. Written by Emmanuel Were Bdafrica
